Page 1 of 2 - Femaru M37 GI Bringback! - posted in SPOILS OF WAR: I found this beauty on Legacy Collectables website. It all matching including the magazine. They rate the finish at 92-93% and the bore 9/10. It has an interesting bring back tag. This is only my second tagged one and its different that my other. The GI put his initials on the holster.
Seems that there's a lot of Ithaca 37 fans on here so I thought I'd make a post with the serial numbers.1 - 01 - 0001 - 8351 - 4401 - 0901 - 629001942No Production1943 - 194562901 - 115351 - 157151 - 202951 - 310100 - 348001 - 413001 - 504001 - 509700 - 574001 - 602001 - 652001 - 704001 - 727001 - 759001 - 704001 - 797001 - 820001 -.867001 - 891001 - 927001 - 966001 - 999501 - 81042001 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 381030000.501 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 01 - 985300 BP. Double check on this, but suggest you add a note for 1962 that Ithaca started with truly replace/switch barrels at # 855,000. That may make a difference to a buyer who wants differing choke selections for these fine pump guns.Also, (double check this too) A good while back I asked a screw-in choke vendor about an installation on one of my early 16 Featherlights. He advised the barrel thickness wasn't sufficient for a drill/tap.
Dunno if that is still the case for screw-in installations nowadays. Solved that problem by buying a couple more 16 Featherlights.- 03/03/18 Re: Ithaca Model 37 serial numbers/dates of manufactureJoined: Oct 2005Posts: 61,335Campfire OracleCampfire OracleJoined: Oct 2005Posts: 61,335.
